Return policy

Why you need a clear return policy even if returns are rare

A return policy isn't just for when a return actually happens - its real effect starts before the customer ever buys.

The customer thinks about it before buying, not after

Even if a customer has no intention of returning anything, knowing they 'could if they needed to' eases their worry and makes the buying decision easier from the start.

Its absence creates doubt even if nobody ever actually returns anything

A site with no mention of a return policy feels less safe than one with a clear policy, even if the actual return rate is zero for both.

A simple, clear policy is enough

"Exchange within 3 days with receipt" doesn't need to be complex - one clear sentence is far better than no information at all.

Write it somewhere visible, not hidden away

A separate, far-off page does less good than a clear line near the buy button or on the main contact page.

"Do you accept returns?" is one of the most repeated pre-purchase questions - and a chatbot like OPENCHATBOT can answer it within seconds, based on your written policy.
