Customer follow-up

How to follow up with a past customer without being annoying

There's a big difference between follow-up that builds a relationship and increases the odds of a repeat customer, and follow-up that gets you blocked or ignored entirely.

1. Ask about their experience, not a new sale

"How was your experience?" is more honest and less pushy than "we have a new offer, buy now" - and it opens the door to a real relationship.

2. Timing matters

A few days after the order arrives is a good time. A few hours is too soon, and months later feels disconnected from the experience.

3. Give value before asking for anything

A usage tip, or a useful piece of info related to the product, makes your message feel helpful rather than just another sales attempt.

4. Respect it if no one replies

Not every customer will reply, and that's normal. One polite follow-up is enough - excessive repetition is what turns good follow-up into annoyance.

Nataly, our very first customer, was a real example of honest follow-up mattering - a simple question about her experience opened the door to an ongoing relationship, not just a single sale.
