How to display your prices clearly without losing customers to ambiguity

Price ambiguity makes customers suspicious, not just thoughtful. Here are simple rules that make your pricing clearer and build trust instead of eroding it.

1. Write the price, don't leave it as "ask for price" without a reason

If the price varies by request (custom work, for example), say why. "Ask for price" with no explanation makes the customer feel something is being hidden.

2. Clarify what's included in the price

Is shipping included? Is there extra tax? State this clearly before the customer reaches checkout and gets surprised.

3. Make the differences between options clear

If you have more than one option or package, explain the difference simply. A customer confused between two vague options will often just delay the decision entirely.

Vague pricing pushes away serious customers

A serious customer wants to compare and decide quickly. Ambiguity filters out exactly the customers closest to buying, sending them to a clearer competitor instead.

Pricing questions are among the most repetitive, and the easiest for a chatbot like OPENCHATBOT to answer within seconds and clearly, based on the information you've given it.
